Top 10 Great Motivational Quotes for Successful People

Motivation is a force which drives character to overcome conflicts or is a set of forces that cause people to behave in a certain way. Here I have listed my favourite Top 20 Great Motivational Quotes.

1. One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you have always wanted. Do it now

Quote By: Paulo Coelho

We have a deadline threatening. Despite doing work, we are fiddling with diverse things like checking tweets and comments, watching TV, gossips. We know we should be working, but we just don’t seem like doing anything. The shutter of luck to accomplish our fantasies does not stay open forever. Lingering, putting off things, slacking, and hiding from work, all are bad habits that eats us away and obstructs us from producing greater results in life.

While we often start off work with a lot of energy there are days when our motivation hits the bottom. A hectic schedule, lethargy, or simply tedium can put us away from goal and once we start slacking, it’s a slippery slope.

When we procrastinate, we waste our free time and put off important duties and assignments we should be doing them until it’s too late. And when it is indeed too late, we get frenzy and hope we could begin earlier. Life is subtle. To continue to put off doing those things we would one day wish to do.  The daily responsibilities of life will require the majority of our attention, but we don’t have to allow that to restrain our ability to set goals or dream. Start doing it now. Stay motivated.

2. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts

After a fall, try again, fail better”. Don't hold on success; it is temporary; failure is determined from time to time; it stimulates us to learn, grow and develop as an individual. However, what departs the good from the great is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing heat. Stay motivated.

We’re going to go through life making blunders.  If we are able to learn from mistakes and continue to strive enthusiastically, we will begin to incorporate the theory and conception of completion. Making mistakes does not have to commence with permanent damage. Failure is neither final nor mortal – it can be defeated.

Success is not ranked by how many times we constrain not to fall, but rather by the number of times that we get back up. A great individual is one who has the courage to try their hardest to overcome their hindrances even when the edges seem stacked against them. Let us not be the type of person who gives up, be the type of person who resumes walking towards the sunrise even in times of darkness.

3. Man is not the creature of circumstances, circumstances are the creatures of men

Quote By: Benjamin Disraeli

Happenings are the creatures of men. Men are not the creations of circumstances. The plans that we have endured in our lives that we have believed because of the emotions we’ve attached to them have manifested. Even a conflicting result can be our great achievement. We need resolution; absolutely. But endurance is not just about taking huge action. If we just take massive action on faulty blueprints our persistence will become unsustainable.

Endurance is the byproduct of four simple habits. Most humans blame personalities, situations, and objects for their circumstances in life. Imagine sending that blueprint into emptiness and realizing that we have total control over our thoughts and therefore control of our outcomes. As long as it’s good for us and doesn’t take away the good of anyone else then we can design our own lives.

Circumstances are the creatures of men. We are free agents, and man is more powerful than matter. We create put own luck, own opportunities, do not blame people or circumstances. You don’t like it hangs it, as long as we have the will to do something and breath for us we can do anything. Let’s lock and load. Stay motivated.

4. You are the main character of your life’s story; it’s time to give your audience something to be inspired by

Quote By: Kevin Ngo

When we are born, our great tale begins the tales of wisdom and motivation for other people. The pathway we choose is the black ink that scarifies and rolls across blank leather-bound pages from a golden tipped feather. Never foretold. It follows our instructions; letters and words form from our hand to create chapters. After the last sentence is scribed, the quill set down, the cover closed, and the book shelved.

If we wanted adventure, we would have to write an adventure story, and if we want to mean, we have to write a meaningful story. That shift can incredibly be empowering, but also incredibly concerning because now we are responsible for the story. When was it that we realized we had control of our lives and started living the gnarly life we wanted? What kind of story do we want for our life, and what are the principles and values that we hold for our main character? That’s all depends on us only. Don’t let anybody to hold a pen for you.

At the end of this life, we’ll all be comparing stories and someone will ask to see yours. When you look at what you’ve written so far and what you’re currently writing, will you be proud to show them?

5. Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself

Quote By: Roy T. Bennett

It’s easy to get hooked up in negative self-talk. It’s also human nature to take your success for granted and even doubt yourself when times are tough in life. That’s why finding ways to actively and consistently believe in your potential are so important.  A great way to do this is to create a practice to identifying your past accomplishments.

Because that will help you to see how your abilities, capabilities and hard-earned skills have all played a role in your unique achievements and leadership. Every good habit and discipline you’ve used to create past success has empowered you to get to where you are today. So set aside some time to think about the talents and skills that are behind your successes. With a renewed belief in yourself and your potential, you’ll find you’re able to stimulate your impact and generate even greater future success. Stay Motivated. Stop creating boundaries that would become a cage of your dreams one day.

Identify your core strengths and continue leveraging your strengths always because it can be a big part of what’s helped move you from point to point in your career and life. You can achieve anything that you set your mind to; the sky is the limit.

6. Cry. Forgive. Learn. Move on. Let your tears water the seeds of your future happiness

Quote By: Steve Maraboli

Don’t let impatience, fear & depression of actions cut you and control your tomorrows. Let the emotions drip out of you as you learn from the experience. Don’t hold a grudge like that will pull you down. Look for the positive and the great days we had & always think those happy days to come back soon because they will. Forgive. Stay motivated and move on.

We should not allow others to get the best of us. Do not allow bad situations to bring us down. Sometimes we need to just vent. We must make a decision that we are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. We have to be determinant and say that we don’t care how hard this is, we don’t care how disappointed we are.

We can consume minutes, hours to over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve would've happened... or we can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on. No matter how much we want things to stay the same, life is all about change. Sometimes change is for the better, and sometimes it’s not. But no matter why things are changing, we need to be able to let go and move on.

7. Where you end up does not depend on where you start; it depends on which direction you choose to take from where you currently stand

Quote By: Kevin Ngo

Every once in a while, life places us at a crossroads, leaving us there with an unusual feeling of which path to choose, and whether it is the right choices, especially when we are overcoming from failures,  and we have no idea to from which direction we should start again. When this happens, the decision is usually one of the toughest ones we have to make for our own well-being.

We’re motivated and ambitious. We want to find the right path and make the right decisions when it comes to our future, but there’s the possibility that we’ll spend months or years pursuing something that might not be worth our time and effort. We tried enough and things didn’t work out, would we feel at peace knowing we gave it a shot? Stand up again and start the battle again.

THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH SINGLE STEP - Lao Tzu

We want to find the right direction before time runs out and need to search some ways to get us pointed in the right direction.  First thing, we don’t need to conquer fear. We can build a symbiotic relationship with it. Our fear will fuel us.  No matter what decision we make, be prepared to accept responsibility for every outcome. If things don’t work out, it’s always better to have made a conscious decision than to have been careless. At least we will know that we made the great choice we could, given what we knew at the time.

8. Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor

Quote By: Truman Capote

Many of us have been thought that not achieving immediate pleasure is a need.  Failure is life’s way of moving us in a different way and actually letting we greet eventually achieving that success we have been endeavouring towards.

Failures have given us a true understanding of self and drove us to attain that success that we envy.  Failure is not an end, it is only a beginning.  That failure makes us rethink to constructs a new plan, pushing us in a direction we may have not originally planned.

FAILURE IS A BEND IN THE ROAD, NOT THE END OF THE ROAD. LEARN FROM FAILURE AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD - Roy T. Bennett

Victorious personalities relish their past failures because they consider them experiences that added value to their life.  And there is nothing better than the feeling of success after years of endurance, struggles, and tribute.

Our failures do not define us, they encourage us. We can accept falling short of a goal but we could never live with ourselves if we gave up trying.  Just one line in the sand on the success side of our life is worth all of those hash marks in the failure column.  A few dashes of inadequacy and a sprinkling of botched attempts make that main course of success that much tastier! Failure is not the end, with the right mindset; it will catapult your success.

9. You measure the size of the accomplishment by the obstacles you had to overcome to reach your goals

Quote By: Booker T. Washington

Success is not measured by the pitches one accomplishes, but by the hindrances, one master in its accomplishment. It is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life, it is to be recognized as the obstacles which he had overcome so far in the success route.

WHEN YOU WANT TO SUCCEED AS BAD AS YOU WANT TO BREATHE, THEN YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL

Sitting and thinking of all of the travails we have endured makes us feel great and more motivated, and we proud of the goals we reached, regardless. It is quite similar to cycling in the wind. In the wind, it’s a compromise between getting as long and as aerodynamic as possible and also being able to see the road to finish the race. Only the strongest rider can take the opportunity and overcome this as an obstacle, riding and then re-emerging is an accomplishment of a goal. So, if we look back at the journey, we certainly feel pleased.

Everyone is fighting a tough battle, for some, it is a greater effort than for others. We all know people who are working against great obstacles. If we study their success exemplars we would endow that the size of the accomplishment is equal to hinders they overcome in a path.

10. To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan, but also believe

Quote By: Anatole France

Nothing great occurs without planning and action. To begin, we must have a vision, desire, and grand idea. This is the starting point of action. We should set spectacles high to execute something new, we need to chase a passion, dream big to achieve the goal.

Sometimes we get messy about anxiety and believe that we need to abolish the external stimulus that is the object of our fear in order to be rid of the fear; we need to avoid the object of our fear. Being human, we’re all susceptible to not following through on our goals. We get busy and complain tiny issues always. However, if we truly want to conquer our fears and succeed in achieving our goals, we have to get up and work hard, not only think about the goal but think about an action plan to achieve it. Stay motivated and overcome the fear of defeat.

Action planning is a process which will help us to focus ideas and to decide what steps we need to take to achieve particular goals that we may have. It is a statement of what we want to achieve over a given period of time. Just pick a goal, an aim we truly want to achieve, plan out and take a clear-eyed look at inclinations, not so we'll feel less confident, but so we can discover exactly what we need to work on. Then get to work. Rejoice small successes. Keep going. As we grow skill, we'll also gain a feeling of genuine confidence, one that can never be taken away--because we've earned it.
